Phins in Business
Dan Marino's Fine Food
& Spirits http://www.danmarinosrestaurant.com
The Phinatic's take:
Locations in Coral Springs, Pointe Orlando, Miami, and St. Petersburg.
The menu has a nice mix of selections including salads, steak,
seafood, pasta, chicken, and more. The Coral Springs location has been
renovated and doesn't have many Marino pictures anymore. The Orlando
location is designed well, and is probably the nicest one inside. The St. Pete location is nice, but there are very few Marino displays/photos on the walls. The Miami location is a newer, and it is a nice one with some good pictures and merchandise. All of the locations have a merchandise counter where you can buy great
Marino memorabilia or Marino's Town Tavern merchandise. I recommend visiting a Dan Marino Town Tavern
at least once. Pricing moderate.
Shula's Steak House
Owned by former Dolphin coach Don Shula, the NFL's all time winningest coach

http://www.shulasbeach.com | Roster of locations for Shula's and Shula's 2
The Phinatic's take: Locations in South Florida include Miami Lakes (305-820-8102), Miami Beach (305-341-6565), and "Shula's on the Beach" in Fort Lauderdale (954-355-4000) . The Miami Lakes location is a tribute to the 1972 undefeated team, so you will see plenty of pictures of that team in the restaurant and bar. Other locations for Shula's include, but are not limited to, Hoover, AL; Orlando (Disney), FL; Tampa, FL; Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Baltimore, MD; Indianapolis, IN; Chicago, IL; Troy, MI;
New Orleans, LA; and New York, NY (for Shula's 2, see review below). The steaks are excellent, especially the
Kansas City Strip. These establishments are for finer dining, so be prepared for a higher than usual bill. All salads and vegetables are a-la-carte. A very nice dining experience, similar to a Morton's or Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. All of the restaurants have Shula's Steak House merchandise for sale. Great Dolphins pictures and memorabilia can be found at all of the locations. If you're due up for a special dinner, I recommend a visit to one of Shula's Steak Houses. Pricing expensive. Reservations recommended. Click here for the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel's review of Shula's.
Shula's 2 Steak House
Owned by former Dolphin coach Don Shula, the NFL's all time winningest coach

http://www.donshula.com The Phinatic's take: If you desire a little bit less formal atmosphere, then try one of the Shula's 2, where you get "more steak, more casual, more sport", according to their advertisements. Shula's 2's are located in Miami Lakes, FL; Baltimore, MD; Cleveland, OH; or Philadelphia, PA. Shula's 2 is definitely more casual than a regular Shula's, but it's still very nice. The food is priced lower than Shula's, and includes additional menu items like hamburgers and fajitas. Shula's steaks are on the menu, but they aren't near the quality of the regular Shula's Steak Houses (you get what you pay for). I recommend going with their tasty hamburger. Shula's 2 has plenty of TV's for your sports viewing pleasure, which gives it the feel of a more upscale sports bar. There are plenty of great pictures on the walls of Coach Shula and his friends. Whether you want to go have a few drinks, watch sports on TV, have a nice casual meal, or have a nice upscale meal --- Shula's 2 is the place. Most of the restaurants have Shula's 2 Steak House merchandise for sale. Pricing moderate to expensive. Shula's 2 in Miami Lakes has Monday Night Football parties during the season and at least one Dolphin player attends when the Dolphins aren't playing.
Zach's Club 54 Gym
Owned by our own 2003 Pro Bowl MLB #54, Zach Thomas
 The Phinatic's take:
This was previously a Gold's Gym located in Amarillo, TX, and is now
owned by Zach and managed by his brother Bart. The phone # is
806-352-7100 and the address is 5807 W 45th Ave # 205, Amarillo, TX
79109. When I had a chance to talk to Zach for about two minutes
at a charity event, he seemed very proud of the place and commented that
it was stocked with everything you need for a good workout and that he
needed some investments for life after football. The reviews
I have read on the gym claim that it is the best in Amarillo.
Junior Seau's Restaurant
Owned by Miami Dolphins LB Junior Seau
http://www.seau.com
The Phinatic's take: This restaurant is located in California and I have not had the privilege of visiting this establishment. Seau's The Restaurant is located in Mission Valley Center on 1640 Camino del Rio North #1376 in San Diego, California 92108. Phone: 619-291-SEAU. Fax: 619-291-0241.
The restaurant also has a Sushi Bar called Raw Mana.
Bob Baumhowers "Wings" Restaurants
Owned by Killer B #73 (1977-1986, 5X Pro Bowler)

http://www.wingssportsgrille.com The Phinatic's take: Locations in Alabama include
the Birmingham area (2), Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, and Montgomery. The buffalo wings are awesome. You can choose from several different kinds of wing flavors including teriyaki, and my favorite - - honey mustard. The menu offers several selections including salads, steaks, pasta, seafood, chicken, and sandwiches. The grilled half potato is a great complement to any meal. Great place to visit for watching sports on the tube. TVs throughout the restaurant, including a big screen located in the bar. You may even catch Bob eating at any of the locations. You won't find any merchandise for sale here except one t-shirt, but you can also buy Bob's Wings sauce or All-Pro Seasoning. I highly recommend visiting a Bob Baumhower's Wings Restaurant.
Pricing is moderate.
Bru's Room Sports Bar
Owned by Bob Brudzinski, Killer B #59 & Dolphins
 http://www.brusroom.com
The Phinatic's take: Bru's has
four locations. One location is Pompano Beach, FL on 235 S
Federal Hwy and the phone # is (954) 785-2227. Another
location is in Margate, FL on 5466 W Sample Rd 33073 and the phone
# is (954) 968-3663. Another location is Delray Beach on 35
NE 2nd Avenue and the phone # is 561-276-3663. Another
location is Deerfield Beach on 35 NE 2nd Ave and the phone # is
561-276-3663. Another loaction is in Boynton Beach at 1333 N Congress Avenue and the
phone # is (561) 739-9332. The newest addition is in
Sunrise, FL just west of the Sawgrass Expressway and Commercial
Boulevard. I have visited all of the Bru's and they all offer dining areas and full service bars. The wings are outstanding, especially the sweet and tangy grilled (a process where they grill them after they are fried).
Each Bru's location has a nice selection of Bru's merchandise including hats, golf shirts, koozies,
and T-shirts. If you want to do some walking after your meal in a very South Florida trendy area, go to the Delray,
Deerfield Beach, or Boynton Beach location. If your main
mission is to enjoy some adult beverage and watch a football game, I'd recommend Margate or Pompano.
The new location is Sunrise is a smaller venue, but you can still
get the same delicious wings there! Pricing moderate.
Howard Schnellenberger's
The Original Steakhouse & Sports Theatre

The Phinatic's take: Locations in Boca Raton and Davie, FL. Owned by the Assistant Coach of the 1972 UNDEFEATED Miami Dolphins. I visited the location in Davie, and it was quite impressive. The bar area is very roomy and has several very large big screen TVs that actually have good picture quality. The dining area is pretty nice, but casual enough to wear pretty much whatever you want. The pricing is reasonable and the menu has plenty of selections including steaks, chicken, fish, sandwiches, and ribs. Pricing is moderate. You won't find many Dolphin displays in the restaurant, but there are more than enough Miami Hurricanes displays if you are into the Canes. I recommend checking it out if you want a decent meal in a nice but not formal atmosphere. I highly recommend it for watching a sports game on TV.
Offerdahl's Cafe and Grill
Owned by John Offerdahl, former Miami Dolphins Linebacker
 The Phinatic's take:
Several locations in South Florida. Check out
www.offerdahls.com for a
complete listing. If you're looking for a sandwich, bagel, coffee, then this is the place. The food and drinks they serve are outstanding and primarily healthy. The Offerdahl merchandise they sell includes T-shirts, coffee mugs, and
large logo thermal mugs. A few pictures of John are on the wall.
If you have the time on your visit, I would recommend a quick trip to
get a great snack and a take home piece of merchandise.
Bernie's Steakhouse
Owned by former Miami Dolphins Bernie Kosar

http://www.berniessteakhouse.com/
The Phinatic's take:
This is a nice upscale restaurant almost as fancy as Shula's.
It's very similar to Shula's as far as the menu goes. Good
quality steaks, etc. According to a review, Bernie's serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant is surrounded by winning moments of Bernie Kosar and the University of Miami along with state-of-the-art media displays for viewing.
Cefalo's Wine Cellar
Owned by former Dolphin Wide Receiver Jimmy Cefalo
http://www.cefaloswine.com

The Phinatic's take: Jimmy's
family has been in the wine business for decades. The new
location in Miami's Coconut Grove is open
and can be found at 3540 Main Highway, Coconut Grove, FL 33133 and
their phone number is 305-971-2400. This is an exceptional
place to drink or purchase some wine and there's a restaurant
attached if you want to eat while you drink. Cefalo's
tasting store features "Enomatics" where a simple push of a button
dispenses a taste of wine of your choice. For more
