Glad he found a new gig but the Raiders is where players go to die.

Do they actually die,, or do they just look dead and pretty much live forever like Al Davis did for centuries?!

Funny that we pretty much ended up just swapping starting LB's..I'm sure we paid more, but still think we got the better end of that exchange!!

I'm not convinced either team gained much out of this new deal either?

Word has it the Phins paid "more" for the "same" so I fail to see a positive way to spin it?

"Word has it the Phins paid "more" for the "same" "

Word?? From?? This is the first I heard anything like that. All I've heard to the negative is the amount of money payed.

If the talent is the "same" than the phins got the best of it because they are cheaper than what we were paying and younger. I personally feel like the LB's we picked up are only slightly better than what we got rid of but they are still young and havent hit their ceiling yet. They fact that they are younger and cheaper is a real bonus.

I actually liked Burnett. I was surprised when we let him go, since he seemed competent, and easily priced at about $4 mil a season...

Just bothers me when any poster throws a random comment like that out there with nothing to back it up. You can say anything you like but it doesn't make it true. For example, Word is that Northern Florida is expecting 8 inches of snow Tomorrow. Pretty stupid Huh?

Agreed. I thought Burnett was a pretty good player. I was more surprised by his release than Dansby's.

lol - your source is smoking crack.. We paid more for "younger", "faster", better "playmakers"?.. The REAL FACTS suggest we saved money on the cap this year and next.

Hopefully at some point you and Doll will fall off your misery train and get back on the band wagon, but until Ireland is fired, and Devlin is starting I guess I just don't see that happening from the looks of things..

"More for the same"? Really? Who is saying that? Ellerbe signed a five-year, $34.75 million
Dansby was going to cost about $15 mil for the next two seasons...
