Box scores from the Dolphins two WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

"This game ball from Super Bowl VII, that game that completed the perfect season of the 1972 Miami
Dolphins, was presented to Coach Don Shula by the members of the Dolphins team.  It in turn was
presented to the Pro Football Hall of Fame by Coach Shula for the specific purpose of inclusion in this display."

The ZONK!

Hall of Fame Dolphin fan Richard Molinary, Dania Beach, FL
"For the last 18 years, I have arrived at the stadium four hours before kickoff to put on my costume and walk the entire parking lot entertaining fans as 'The Miami Fanatic.' During the game I do my best to lead the cheers in support of the team I love, the Miami Dolphins."

Miami Dolphins Hall of Famers spot

"The Miami Dolphins were founded as an expansion franchise in the American Football Leaguein 1966.  Topped by an unprecedented 17-0 perfect season in 1972, the Dolphins dominated the pro football world in the early 1970's.  They have remained among the league's upper echelon ever since."

"Regarded as the premier center of his time, Dwight Stephenson excelled for eight season with the Miami Dolphins and earned All-Pro honors five consecutive years, was named to five Pro Bowls and won AFC or NFL Offensive Lineman of the Year four times." (Original photo: Al Messerschmidt/NFL Photos)

"Don Shula, the NFL's all-time winningest coach, led the Dolphins to the five Super Bowls and in 1972 guided the team to the NFL's only perfect season.  In 26 seasons in Miami, he had only two below .500." (Original photo: Phil Masturzo/NFL Photos)

"Paul Warfield, who began and finished his career in Cleveland, played five seasons with the Dolphins.  Known for his sensational pass catching ability, Warfield averaged 21.5 yards per his 156 catches as a Dolphin." (Original photo: Hall of Fame)

"Bob Griese quarterbacked the Dolphins from 1967 through 1980 and led Miami to three AFC championships and two Super Bowls victories.  The league's MVP in 1971, he threw for more than 25,000 yards and 192 touchdowns in his career." (Original photo: Malcolm Emmons/NFL Photos)

"Miami acquired linebacker Nick Buoniconti in 1969 and he quickly became the anchor of the team's 'No Name Defense.'  He was named the Dolphins' MVP three times and earned his sixth trip to an AFL All-Star Game and two Pro Bowls while a member of the Dolphins." (Original photo: NFL Photos)

"Larry Csonka was the Dolphins' No. 1 pick in 1966.  A bruising runner, Csonka was named to five Pro Bowls and earned Most Valuable Player honors for his 145-yard rushing performance in Super Bowl VII." (Original photo: Skip Heine)

"This is the ball carried by Larry Csonka when the Miami Dolphins established a new team rushing record for a single season (2,960 yards in 1972). 1987 enshrinees Csonka and Jim Langer were key elements of the Miami offensive machine that year."

Csonka game used jersey

"Signed as a free agent in 1970, Jim Langer became the Dolphins starting center and soon earned all-league acclaim.  He played in six straight Pro Bowls, three AFC championship games, and three Super Bowls." (Original photo: NFL Photos)

"The helmet Jim Langer wore during the Miami Dolphins perfect season in 1972.  When he played in the Pro Bowl, his Miami helmet was painted with the 'A' that is now on the headpiece."
