Phintastic Game Event 2004

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Miami Dolphins

The 2004 Phintastic Game Weekend Event included going to the Miami Dolphins versus Pittsburgh Steelers game at the stadium formerly known as Joe Robbie Stadium. One of the guests was even lucky enough to run into OJ McDuffie at the game and got a picture with him.

Where do I start?  I think I will start at the beginning when I signed up for the Phintastic Event Weekend.  This game actually worked out great because my wife (Corinna) has always been a Steelers fan.  In addition to that, she had never been to a NFL game in her life.  When The Phinatic put out the information and an approximate cost, we didn't even hesitate to let him know we were in.  Then came the hard part of breaking the news to our 13 and 11 year old sons that we (Corinna and I) were going down to Miami to see this game, meet some players, take a tour of the stadium, etc!  Boy, that went over like a ton of bricks!  So, after we got the puppy dog faces and a lot of begging, we decided they could come with us.  (They owe us BIG time, LOL)  It turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made.  (Austen and Alex had never been to a NFL game either!)

The first good news we received was that The Phinatic was offering us upgraded seats, (at no extra cost)!  Of course we jumped on this and took the lower corners on the Miami side.  I knew we would be close, but I couldn't express that to Corinna and the boys since they had never been to a game.  (Everything looks so big and far away on TV!).  Walking into the stadium is such a rush!  Even with the sky opening up and pouring rain on us every now and then, it was so exciting.  As we were walking down to our seats, the field kept getting closer and closer.   Even I couldn't believe it!  The boys had painted their faces, and had their foam fins waving, and we were all ready for an awesome game!  Then it started!  WOW!

I won't go into the actual game, because we all know how that turned out.  But I will say that this was one of the best times we ever had as a family.  Hurricane Jeanne tried to put a damper on it in the first half, but to no avail! As a matter of fact, Jeanne tried to put a damper on the whole weekend, but The Phinatic worked everything out. Even with the loss, we had the time of our lives.  The Phinatic put together an awesome package and believe me...the price was RIGHT!  The game, along with all the other events we attended, turned out better than any of us ever expected.  We would not hesitate to attend another event that The Phinatic puts together.  GO FINS!
