UPDATE:
According to Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald, the report that Stephen Ross is pushing for Ryan Tannehill to be drafted is not at all true according to a team source. Armondo’s article can be found here.
Here is the original story:
According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, a source says Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is pushing for the team to draft Texas A&M quarterback, Ryan Tannehill.
From the Article: “On the surface, the decision would seem to flow from first-year offensive coordinator Mike Sherman, the architect of Tannehill’s transition to quarterback in College Station. But a league source tells PFT that the man pushing hardest for Tannehill is owner Stephen Ross.”
The full report can be read here.
I have a hard time reading into stuff like this during draft week. If it is true, I hope the front office doesn’t select Tannehill based on the owner. The owner hires a general manager and coaches for a reason. It’s because they know football.

This is a great way to have teams trade down and have the Phins get their men!
Phins are going to get Flecther Cox or Coples!
