After a much anticipated off season for Miami Dolphins fans beginning with free agency, the Dolphins reportedly have their new logo leaked early Wednesday. After the initial plan to have the logo and jerseys unveiled April 18th, it is reported that a photo leaked, and was later confirmed the dolphins logo change.
According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the photo of Dolphin’s defensive end Jared Odrick that was published on NFL.com earlier today, was confirmed by Dolphins chief executive office Mike Dee. Dee told reporters ”It was leaked by somebody at Nike”. “We had always had a plan to kind of roll it out over a 30-day period, so we’re going to start rolling it out. But the logo is only one part of the announcement. Its a complete re branding of the team.
The remaining helmet and jerseys are still set to be unveiled in April as planned.
For history of the Miami Dolphins logo changes, this would be the 5th logo in the Miami Dolphins generation. Hopefully the uniform change will approach soon also.
